Design Interest is a new community which brings designers in the region a bit closer together. It’s intended to bring people in on a social level rather than a corporate one and also to provide a practical peer group for critique and improvement.

Format

We’ll have some short talks. We’d also like to encourage people to bring their recent work, so we can split into small groups and discuss design decisions. Also, if you have any work you’re proud of and would like to show (ident / photography / screen capture) then we’ll be running a background slideshow. Intended participants

Designers, and those with related skills. Independent/freelance, employed, or training. In Newcastle (and the North-East). Primarily aim to attract those from web, graphics and print design, but also creatives in related disciplines: product design, illustration etc
